Install PrintKit on your store

Pick your platform. Each one has its own short set of steps.

Every platform gets the same builders and the same print-ready files. What changes is how PrintKit gets onto your store and where your customer pays. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, then $19/mo for your first builder and +$12/mo for each one you add.

Shopify

  1. Open PrintKit on the Shopify App Store and click Install. Shopify asks you to approve the app’s permissions.
  2. In the app, open Plan & billing and tick the builders you run. Approving the plan starts your free trial. Shopify bills you; nothing is charged until the trial ends.
  3. Open Initial setup for your brand and machines, then Builder setup for your products and prices.
  4. Put a builder on your store: Online Store → Themes → Customize, open a page, Add block → Apps → Product Builder, choose the builder and Save.

The full walk-through, including test orders, is in Getting started.

Wix

PrintKit is on the Wix App Market as PrintKit Product Designer. Your site needs Wix Stores (it is what holds the cart), and your plan is billed through your Wix account.

  1. While logged in to Wix, open the PrintKit install link (or search “PrintKit” in the Wix App Market) and pick your site. Wix shows the permissions the app needs: adding designs to your customer’s cart, reading your orders so paid orders show as paid, and saving design images to your site’s media.
  2. In your Wix dashboard, open PrintKit. Enter your shop name and the email for new orders, agree to the terms and click Start. Already use PrintKit on another store? Click Connect that shop instead.
  3. Tick the builders you want and click Choose a plan. Your first plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Billing, invoices and cancelling are in your Wix account.
  4. Walk through Finish setting up to pick your machines and print basics, and set your products and prices.
  5. In the Wix Editor, click Add Elements (+) → App Widgets, add the design builder to a page, then pick the builder in the widget’s Settings. Publish your site.

Finished designs go into your Wix cart as a normal item at your PrintKit price, and your customer checks out with your usual Wix checkout. In your Wix orders, a design’s SKU is its PrintKit order number (PK-Q…). Builders stay hidden on your site until you choose a plan.

WooCommerce

The PrintKit WordPress plugin puts each finished design into your own WooCommerce cart, priced by PrintKit. It needs WordPress 6.0 or newer and WooCommerce.

  1. Create your account at app.printkit.tech/signup, then pick your builders on Billing to start your free trial.
  2. On your PrintKit dashboard, click Using WooCommerce? and download printkit-woo-bridge.zip.
  3. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the file, click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Back on the PrintKit WooCommerce page, click Create my shared secret. In WordPress, open Settings → PrintKit, paste your publishable key and shared secret, check the server URL matches, and save.
  5. Add a builder to any page with its shortcode, for example [printkit_builder builder="shirts"]. Swap shirts for stickers, sticker-single, dtf-transfers, embroidery, uv-roll or uv-substrate.

When the order is paid in WooCommerce, it shows as paid in PrintKit too, with the print files ready.

BigCommerce

PrintKit connects to your BigCommerce store so finished designs go into your own BigCommerce cart. A one-click app on the BigCommerce App Marketplace is on the way; until then you connect from your PrintKit dashboard.

  1. Create your account at app.printkit.tech/signup and pick your builders on Billing.
  2. In your BigCommerce admin, go to Settings → Store-level API accounts → Create API account. Name it PrintKit and set exactly these permissions, leaving everything else as None: Carts modify, Content modify, Information & settings read-only, Orders read-only, Products modify. BigCommerce can’t change these later, so check them before you save.
  3. On your PrintKit dashboard, click Using BigCommerce?, paste the API path and access token BigCommerce showed you, and click Connect.
  4. Click Create page to add a builder page to your store, or paste the builder snippet into any page’s HTML.

In your BigCommerce orders, a design’s SKU is its PrintKit order number (PK-Q…). Paid, refunded and cancelled orders show in PrintKit too.

Squarespace, Webflow & any website

  1. Create your account at app.printkit.tech/signup and pick your builders on Billing.
  2. Copy your one-line snippet from the dashboard. It carries your public key, so it is safe to paste anywhere.
  3. Paste it into an HTML block: a Code block set to HTML on Squarespace, an HTML Embed element on Webflow, or straight into the page source anywhere else.
<script async src="https://app.printkit.tech/embed.js" data-printkit-key="pk_live_your_key" data-builder="shirts"></script>

On these sites, finished designs arrive in your PrintKit portal, paid by card through your own connected Stripe account or as quotes you price yourself. More detail per platform is on the Platforms page.
